I have been sitting on this news for such a long time. But now I am thrilled to finally share it! Rosie Floribunda and the Best-Loved-Won’t-Stop-Chicken-Gizzard Plant (thank you, geniuses at Knopf, for coming up with that title!) was inspired by a beautiful red plant my late mother-in-law Roshan nurtured and shared with family and friends for years, and left as a legacy. This picture book will be yet another offshoot of that magnificent plant — a story about numbers and names, tendrils and tenderness, and above all, love.
I love how Rotem *gets* this story’s heart and humor. I am amazed that I get to collaborate with Sarthak; when I saw his luminous, lush, witty work, I knew he would be perfect for Floribunda. And I am so very grateful to Linda Epstein, my agent of thirteen (!) years, for delivering this project into such capable hands.

Hi Ben! Thanks for visiting the website. Glad you like it! I wasn’t trying to say that you taught me grab attention by the example you set, but by the attention you naturally all naturally received, simply by being older. That’s how it felt to me, anyway. And I appreciate the lesson. 🙂
